Was it Jai who mentioned the idea of obtaining a pool of ~30 players, appointing two captains, make two teams, rent ice long term at a reasonable hour, then have the two teams go at it every week? (Trades are allowed, and teams are overhauled if the outcomes become predictable)

I am very intrigued by this idea, willing to try to make it happen, as long as I'm not the only one setting it up (or upping it set, as it were)

Yup... still interested in that set up if anyone else is.

But really, I can't see myself ever playing roller again. With such limited free time in our schedules, I don't have the luxury to be in multiple leagues... and like it's been mentioned before, if I was forced to choose.

PICH you only get two 20 minute halfs.

ICE604 you get three 20 minute periods.
