he should have given someone GM authority of his team if they are not present. If they have not, they won't be able to draft.

The penalty if they do not show up and all their picks gets bypassed is that all the picks are lost and they are stuck with the same team. Repeat offenders will have their team suspended or a new GM will be asked to replace them.

For guys who show up for the draft and then disappear at the waiver, and don't make their drops. Either someone will make their drops for them, or random players will be selected by an independent 3rd part to be dropped, so you could lose your star players.

Sounds like it may get a bit messy. If this can be enforced then it's ok. I just have a hard time believing it will.

And if it does happen to a GM, I have a feeling they will be up in arms about it... It's still there own fault but they'll be PO'd nonetheless.

Hui Tin had a fit when Shao picked Kulikov for her last year. And that would not be anywhere as bad as if say Ovechkin was randomly dropped off her team.

I think we should start the discussion asap so gms can have a year to chew over the new rules. I'm sure everyone will agree with the changes because pretty much all of us are at our wits end regarding all the wasted time in the past few drafts.

Question: I've only been in this pool for what, 4 or 5 years... but was it always this bad? Did it always take 3 hours to go through 3 rounds of drafts? granted we've expanded the league by 3 teams in the past 3 years, but still, were people always this slow?

I remember before the waivers used to always be offline. Via phone etc...
I remember the draft always taking a while to complete though.
