Should the 'nucks winger get the book?

I vote two, only because I think all head shots intentional or no should be an automatic. If the guy is reaching, you need to let up.

nhl has given Torres a 4 game suspension. since canucks only have 2 games left in the season, it means he'll be sitting out two playoff games.. i think i have heard colin campbell equate 1 playoff games equivalent to 2 regular season games when it comes to suspensions... so that means it would have been a 6 game suspension regularly.. you think they came down to hard on him? is this another example of inconsistent supplemental discipline?

I could understand if the eberle was injured, but he was not. Doesnt the league usually observe the injury also?

I agree with Jai. Two games probably would have fit the crime. The equavalent of six games seems a bit much though. It was a hit to the head, but it wasn't an elbow to the head. Is Torres a repeat offender?

i think it's totally bogus since heatley only got 2 games when he purposely skated over to the other player to extend his elbow in a fly by. Torres was finishing his check during a hockey play and Eberle had his head down and at waist level no less.

shanny getting heat for not suspending weber, thus the overreaction - check
torres hit a blackhawk and not a member of the "most hated" team in the nhl - check

Yeah. Hearing the 'experts' evaluate the suspension it sounds like they think the repeat offender part was a HUGE factor. In their opinion, If it wasn't for that, he likely would have only gotten a game or two.
