ok, maybe i didn't mean to lock the thread.
my review for the first movie that i've seen in months:

awful acting, poor script, perhaps the only thing that possibly saves the movie is johnny depp who i usually enjoy. but frankly i'm surprised that he'd even agree to be a part of a movie so shallow and predictable. when i first saw the trailer i was somewhat intrigued but i guessed the plot and ending right away.

i don't recommend this movie for anything more than catching it by mistake on tv. it's not even worth downloading.

I usually enjoy Johnny Depp movies too.. But lately he's been getting crappy. He should've stopped after the 3rd Pirates movie.. Now it's just getting boring.

I guess with his recent huge popularity spike, he can't reserve himself for choice artistic movies anymore.. He probably gets tons of pressure to do big budget generic movies now. Like, doing a movie just for the sake of satisfying a want to see Johnny Depp doing a movie with Angelina Jolie.

I think he's cashing in on his name now. He's turning into the classic has-been's like Nick Cage. I just can't take his acting seriously anymore. He's so over dramatic in his roles. He's kinda like Will Ferrel... he plays the same character in all his movies, but in different contexts now...

I hope the new Pirates movie is a good one... if it isn't, then Depp may lose some of his credibility

what's with the nick cage bashing... kick-ass was an awesome movie. he has still got it. albeit he has more misses than hits in recent times...

depp is still pretty classic tho'

no actor/actress is going to hit on every single film... and some movies will suck no matter how good the acting is..
