Sense8 on Netflix

From the Wachowski Bros (Matrix, Cloud Atlas) and Michael Straczynski (Babylon 5)

This show got very mixed reviews. I think when people see that it's from the Wachowski Bros, they automatically assume it will be something similar to The Matrix, so when they see it's not The Matrix, they get disappointed.

This show does have its flaws, but I enjoyed it a lot. It's actually more in the style of Cloud Atlas, which I also enjoyed. It's about 8 seemingly random peoples' lives intersecting, and in the case of this show, sharing their senses (Sense8, get it?). The show does have action, but for me, it wasn't about that. It was more about the visuals and the character development.

Worth a watch if you're on Netflix.

I didn't even know about that. That kind of explains why this show is so heavy on gender and sexuality issues.
