300 was a pretty good adaptation of a graphic novel. sin city was pretty good too.

i don't think movies need to include all details if they are able to capture the ethos of the book. many movies don't do that because they try too hard to capture the details (or they eff up the details like spiderman's web pores). but i think the borne series did a pretty good job in capturing the fast-paced action-packed drama.

the davinci code did not.
