I 90% agree as he was just horrible in Daredevil. But if he can actually bring some of the real acting talent that he showed in "The Town" or "Argo", without his lame comedic style, then he might not be too horrible.

Acting talent is one thing, but he just doesn't look like a Bruce Wayne or Batman. When you think Batman/Bruce, you think dark, sophisticated, intelligent, confident and strong. When you look at Ben Affleck, you don't see any of those qualities... all I see is goofy and awkward.

i think affleck is only a so-so actor. both argo and town are great movies. but i don't think his acting in either were particularly spectacular. both had compelling stories and probably even direction (so credit affleck for that). his acting in argo i though was just alright. and I thought he was undershadowed by renner's performance in the town (and even hall's to a lesser degree for that matter).

i haven't seen a very wide range roles from affleck to be honest, whether playing a CIA agent or a bank robber, he seems to come off as generally the same personality.

i can't blame affleck completely for the horribleness of daredevil though, that movie was just all sorts of bad, from the story, direction, acting, etc..

it's interesting they that they are pairing an older,established batman with a younger superman. I think they would have been much better off doing a batman reboot though first prior to this crossover, if this batman is outside of the nolanverse, we basically have no background on this version, even though he is supposed to be the more established of the two heroes.

dc is doing it all wrong.
if they have a superman/batman mashup like this and then a justice league movie coming up, the least they could do is get the same actors. christian bale said he'd be open to the idea, but i'm not sure why he's not on board with this project.

another reason why marvel (and how they played the avengers with the crappy movies leading up to it but at least the same actors) > dc.

I still think Marvel (or whoever owns the specific character/team franchises) is doing it wrong.

The franchise owners for X-Men, Spiderman, Fantastic 4 and the Avengers team, etc, are so closed off from each other that it makes collaboration almost impossible. It seems even a simple cameo appearance by Wolverine in the Avengers was out of the question. It doesn't have to be a full on mash up, but at least a quick appearance by Spiderman, Wolverine or someone else would've been cool. Heck, what else does Halle Berry have to do these days anyway.

I think in terms of animated:
DC >> Marvel

and in terms of comics now, my opinon is:
DC > Marvel
DC has a lot great story arcs introduced back in the 80s by the british invasion with moore and morisson.
even the Jim Lee who was doing the artwork for xmen in its hay day is with DC now.

i wouldn't say marvel has an amazing track record in movies either, they have made a lot more for sure, but that doesn't necessarily mean all the quality is better.
