I didn't know they nixed Tobey Maguire as Spiderman... they have this new guy as Spiderman now. Andrew Garfield, I think the guy's name was?

Emma Stone will play Gwen Stacey... she's not bad.

it's not the same series i heard. it's a different one all together.

maybe because spider man 3 had ghey written all over it, they decided to revamp the entire thing. sorta like how batman sucked in the 90's.

it'll be interesting how they redo this origin story. looks like they'll go back to gwen stacy being pete parker's love interest tho.. they didn't even cast a mary j watson it looks like.

wasn't gwen stacy way before mary j anyway? and i think it was saving gwen (not mary j a la spiderman 1) that was the opposite choice to saving the trolley of kids.

both gwen and mary j were thrown off bridges by the green goblin. gwen was the first tho' and the one that did not survive.

both love interests were introduced fairly early in the comic as well and were friends in the comic. Although gwen has always been considered pp first love.

phew, good thing i put "i think" in there as a disclaimer or i'd look like quite the dork right now.

i think in the comics spiderman never had to choose between a trolley or his gf either. gwen was just thrown off and spiderman tried to save her with his web accidentally killing her in the process..

2012 not sure if the exact date has been released yet. this year is supposed to be capt america/thor/xmen(xavier/magneto) and then 2012 will have spiderman and the avengers

I wonder how many times they're going to do Spider-Man movies from scratch.

the suit looks the same as the tobey maguire movies, but it looks like he has web cartridges like spider man should.
at least it doesn't look like the original series from the 70s or 80s.
