Looking for a new super awesome...

...360 game to get. Single player; I prefer playing by myself. Any suggestions? And don't tell me to get a PS3. I need to run a marathon first.

Genre doesn't really matter (though I am a bit tired of RPGs), as super awesome games are awesome regardless of genre.

LOL somehow i thought keian started this thread. i just noticed that it was shaun (i was wondering why keian was running a marathon...). no offence on my previous post heh heh...

anyway, what kind of games are you looking for? the new mortal kombat looks pretty cool. not sure when it's out though. maybe get a kinect like fynn did? although i haven't played any of those games i hear it's pretty fun.

Kinect would be fun, but I just don't have enough room for it.
Mortal Kombat comes out in April... too far away.
I'll check out Alan Wake.

I always seem to end up playing the same sorts of games. ie. Fallout3, Oblivion, CoD4, Bioshock, etc.
Looking for something a little different this time I guess.

How about a RTS game? That's a bit different than your usual FPS or RPG games that you've been playing.

I was specifically thinking Starcraft 2. I know it's not an xbox game, but you've got a pretty awesome laptop that you can play it on.

Is SC2 good? It seems like when it first came out, that's all that anybody talked about, but two months later... nothing.

my thoughts on sc2.

the single player campaign is worth the purchase price. it's a great game just standalone, great production quality. you somewhat take it for granted when you play only good games... but a lot of other publishers don't take out the time blizzard does to really flush out a game and get all the details right. No bugs, no crashes, quality graphics/sounds/gameplay/etc...

multiplayer - is great for the "hardcore" player, the one that will want to play ladder games and work on all the minutia of his game. the depth of strategy that can be involved in this game is pretty extensive. the problem is for the casual player who can only really spend maybe 5 hours a week playing, its less appealing. there are a lot of custom maps where there's more easy, quick fun, but it's a bit time intensive finding a fun map to play. also the funnest thing about multiplayer for me is getting to play with friends i know... nowadays ppl are just too busy to get their regular game-on...

2011 is supposed to be a great year for video games actually.
diablo3, dragon age2, mass effect3, marvel v capcom3, crysis 2, dues ex: 3, dead space2, batman: arkhamcity, metal gear solid: rising, star wars: the old republic, infamous2...
so if you can wait a bit there will be some great games coming out..

If you haven't already played batman: arkham asylum. steam has it on sale for today only at $7.50 (USD) on PC. It's a great game at that price. And you can play it the same as the console if you have xbox360 wireless controller for pc and hook your tv up to your computer!

It was on sale for xbox for 19.99. I just started playing Fable 2, cuz it was 19.99. Remember to wear a condom, cuz you might get STDs in the game.

aw man, now the only thing i can suggest is this:
http://www.lanceandeskimo.com/flash/quest.html

not a 360 game, but it's highly challenging and addictive. not to mention time consuming.

The more I think about it, the more I think I want a great turn-based strategy game... something like the old Panzer General or Jagged Alliance or XCom games. RTS just seems too stressful for me. haha

I was looking forward to Fable III, but it didn't seem to get very good reviews and it sounded like many of the things that I didn't like about Fable II were still in III.
