There's still no release date from Blizzard yet... but honestly, even if there was, it'd probably be delayed anyway. haha
Anyway - I just found out that they're working on a PS3 version of it. Pretty excited about that because that means I'll get to play it since my computer is probably too old to play it. I already missed out on SC2 because my computer suxxors.

Based on my experience so far, the game is pretty fun, not too far of a deviation from it's predecessors, some people may not like some of the "dumbed down" aspects, like no stats/skill tree customisation.
I actually like these aspects, i don't have the time or inclination getting that "perfect" build. equipments still have plenty of stats to let you still customise your character. and the singleplayer/multiplayer integration is a huge two thumbs up. yes it sucks to have to sign on when only playing singleplayer, especially when servers are down, but it's pretty awesome to be able to carry your single player character and all his equips from single to multiplayer with a click of a button.
cgi scenes are stunning. and story seems pretty immersive so far. as is expected graphics are not top-end to try and reach the widest possible customer base, but is made up by the fun gameplay and all the little nice improvements over the previous installments.
one tiny issue that really bothers me though, is how blizzard seems adamant about using this "battletag" to identify characters during multiplayer. so much so that your character name is rarely seen by other players in your game. it's a small issue but they should really listen to their fanbase, who have been pretty vocal with this point and change it.

^ what he said
I've been pretty impressed by it so far. It feels like they put a lot of work into the game. And i agree with joel on the simplicity of the character stats and skills. Sometimes i don't really care to spend all that time doubting my choices. Should i power up on strength? vitality? should i max out this skill only to find out that it sucks and i have to start from scratch on another skill that i should've spent my skill points on? Usually in those situations i just scour the internet and see what other people have done and recommend and do that which ends up taking away from the enjoyment of playing the game. It's like playing final fantasy (or the older ones anyways, xiii sucked) with a strategy/gameplay guide because you're afraid of making a mistake and spending hours correcting the mistake. Skill/Stat trees do have their merit, but i guess i'm just getting too old to spend all that time caring about it. I just want a game i can enjoy w/o it being overly complicated.
