who has seen so far? what are your thots on it?

a co-worker told me it was good and recommended to me. but i also don't really trust his opinion on movies.

Went to the screener.. It was good. Not Great. Not as good as Xmen. Definitely more old fashioned patriotic story telling cheese, but that's what you'd expect with Captain America after all. It's probably about 90% true to the original storyline so you'd have to expect cheese as that's what comics were back in the 40's and 50's. The only real dissappointment for me was that it really just seemed like a big preface for Avengers.

ben went to go see it tonight. i watched clips of it on conan. didn't look good.

yeah i also watched it last night. i agree with jai's comments. it's good but nothing spectacular (better than thor, but a far drop from xmen). the best word to describe the movie for me is "vanilla". the writing, the character development, the acting all just ok. the most impressive thing about the movie is the special effects they use to make "skinny steve".

it could just be a sort of limitation with what can be done with boyscout comicbook heroes like capt america and superman though...
