A movie about trying to stop a runaway train starring Denzel Washington.
At first I thought it was a Speed wanna-be, and I guess it was, but you know what... I like those kinda movies sometimes.
Just like most movies, you have to suspend disbelief a bit, but I was entertained.
IMO, well worth the time spent watching it.
5.5/7

It's based on a real incident though.

at first i thought you were talking about undefeatable, which the actual description is:
"Kristi Jones (Cynthia Rothrock) avenges her sister's death at the hands of a crazed martial arts rapist." i've seen undefeatable, it's wick.

The stupidest movie based on a true story was "The Perfect Storm" starring George Clooney... at the end of the movie, it had a note saying that none of the guys survived. If none of the guys survived, then how the heck did they come up with that whole movie?!?!? They all could've just sat around not saying a single word to each other and drinking beers non-stop when the storm hit for all we know.

there are different titles for different kinds of movies.
"based on true events", "based on a true story", "the following depicts real events", "inspired by true events", etc all mean different things.
the exorcist was "based on true events", as in, the guy who wrote the movie read a paragraph-long article on an exorcism that happened 8 states away and he made a whole movie out of it.
