Someone at work here mentioned that they don't even check the expiry at the counter anymore because of this policy.

Any prepaid gift cards are by law not allowed to expire. Apparently, these movie passes fall into the prepaid gift card category.

Good to know. Maybe I won't try and cram in all 4 movies next week.

i don't know why i never thought of this. Frick, i work in the industry and i know we're not allowed to expire gift cards/passes... oh well...

didn't joyce and joel have a bunch recently that expired? hopefully they didn't throw them away.

ours expired in january. i don't know where they are. but we probably threw them away. there were 4 of them.

hey i was just thinking, wouldn't the groupon stuff be considered as a gift cert too? they have expiry dates on them.

I think groupons may be lumped under a paid coupon type of thing? I know that's a weak argument but it's kinda like a limited time promotional offer. I suppose thats why groupon sounds like coupon?

that sucks. not like i get that many groupons anyway.

jenn chow liu just did a batch said obo her friend in july... i bought 10... i think it's too late for that now. I'll let you know if i hear anyone doing the tix... i remember talking to coleen a while back about the tix and she said that the prices have gone up now. it's not as cheap as they once were so not many people are willing to do the sale for fundraisers etc because the profit margin is really low. I think i bought the tix from jenn's friend for like 8.75/tix... compared to a few years back, i think some people were still selling the tix for like 7.50/tix.... gotta love inflation

Yes.. you can... from someone with a Cineplex corporate account who has stockpiled a bunch. eg anyone who works for Scotiabank as they are a corporate partner who buys on an ongoing basis.

We bought ours by setting up a corporate account with Sports Traders.

Back in the day, the $7 price point was for a minimum purchase of 2500 tickets. I believe that at 2500 today, you get the $8.50 mark.

so does that mean i can get them from you whenever?

sure, you just gotta buy 2500 of them... but hey, they never expire!
