new scifi-ish show on fox.
is one part lost, and one part jurassic park. watched the premiere yesterday and was pretty decent! anybody else catch it?

i think i saw a commercial at one point. is it a lead in for the new jurassic park movie i heard about?

I saw it.. it's not a lead in for the new Jurrassic Park movie... totally separate.

Terra Nova talks about going back in time 85 mil years so the human race can start over again. Pretty decent show.

why would the human race need to start over again?

It's the common cliche... humans have ruined the world with pollution and stuff.

but if they have the ability to travel back in time, why not transport the entire human race back.

Their time travel was due to a space-time wormhole anomoly and not from some invention. It was only good for one way travel, so they couldn't come back. Also, they explained away the butterfly effect by saying that this was a different time stream, so it didn't affect the future that they know. The weird thing is, for some reason, they built this very Stargate looking portal that leads to the wormhole.
