wow, this one looks a lot more action packed than the first one. Definitely on the must see list.

That teaser leads me more to think that Benedict Cumberbatch is playing Gary Mitchell as opposed to Khan Noonien Singh. He's too fair skinned to be Khan, and it looks more like he possesses the power of Gary from TOG.

Gary Mitchell was a superbeing though.. in the teaser, it didn't look like the character had any powers. Pre-super Gary Mitchell just had some mild pre-cognitive powers.

Khan, on the other hand, was an augmented human, so he would've just been smarter and stronger than the average human. Also, Khan has a beef with Starfleet.

i just realised the screen cap of the japanese vid i posted is the exact scene that i'm talking about lol.

i'm wondering how it could be khan though, didn't they find him frozen? unless he goes back in time or this alternate universe has the enterprise find him earlier. both cases i think they're being too dependant on the success of tos than trying to etch out their own legacy in the start trek universe.

Hope they don't plan to redo all of tos movies in this new alternate universe.

we'll see if the tribbles show up somewhere down the line haha.
