i haven't heard much about this, but from the article it sounds like this announcement was more of a flop than the bb10 announcement lol.

it feels more like a teaser than the bb10 announcement. I'm a little disappointed in the lack of info too. it felt like they tried to rush this conference in before anything was fully ready to get the jump on the xbox who's slated to announce in june. either way, it seems like ps4 will be available at the end of this year. start selling your ps3s boys

yeah, that's what the article said, they're just trying to jump on the xbox announcement.

but it's still not much of an announcement. like, i don't feel excited about this console at all.

but what would it take for you to be excited? it's gonna support 4K tv... games might not be done to that resolution but it'll most likely support the next generation of HD media... plus if you're a social media junky, it's designed to be as seamless as it can be with forms of social media. There's a dedicated button for you to record and post your stuff.

I think we're a spoiled generation where everything has to be orgasm inducing or else it sucks. The previous iterations of PS have been minor improvements in functionality. They just output better graphics. PS3 was already a big leap from PS2 because it was more of an integrated network media hub.

the Wii U tried to "wow" people and in the end, everyone said it sucked lol...

Console gaming is already fighting an uphill battle with mobile gaming. the PS4 is trying to integrate as much as it can with the online social media space to close that gap.

I think i'll reserve judgement when more info comes out about the ps4... i imagine they'll be releasing the ps4 in november just before the xmas shopping season.

i read a total of two articles, and they both pretty much said the same thing, that the announcement wasn't as much an announcement as much as it was a teaser.

i knew about the share button, but that didn't seem like a feature that i would ever care about. like those ios games that ask you if you want to share your score via facebook. hell no, i don't want to share my score. at all. usually because it's embarrassing lol.

i heard that playstation 4 will be able to simulate any type of physical matter that you can interact with and in a single room can simulate an unlimited space you can move through... then when you are all done playing, you give the voice command "Computer, Arch" and a doorway appears for you to exit.

now that's excitement building for you. sony should have announced that.

haha i would have preordered if they did.

don't get me wrong though, i'm not saying that the ps4 will be crap, i'm just saying that the two articles i read seemed to say that the announcement wasn't much in the way of announcement. i just thought that was funny that sony would do that.
