so i watched the first episode. colson (coulson?) is indeed back, and so is that chick (hill?). it's ok, but nothing really outstanding as of yet. i'm hoping that it won't fall into that "smallville" pattern of "bad guy terrorising, new hero learning about himself saves the day, and a bunch of high school drama inbetween". so far there isn't much hint of an overarching story.

I always thought this show takes place before the whole Avengers timeline because Coulson is alive. I watched the show just now and it turns out Loki didn't kill him in the movie.

yeah, they explain that in the first episode. the series takes place in the backdrop of the "new york incident" i think they call it. coulson's being alive is a "level 7" security clearance secret. the avengers are only level 6.

i had a feeling that he wasn't dead. it seemed to weird. i didn't think that it was going to amount to a tv series though.

i have a feeling he was dead and they brought him back somehow. They keep saying that he went to haiti after the "new york incident". Plus there was a scene in the first episode where colbie smulders' character was talking to the doctor and they were saying that colson "can't ever know" or whatever so i think he did indeed die. I'm sure they'll bust that nugget out later on in the series to keep viewers interested.

The chick, Skye, i imdb'd her and she's some halfie.. her real last name is Wang and her dad is chinese. She apparently went to Beijing to try to be a singer and she learned mandarin or something. She's pretty hot, but she seems one dimensional.

anyway, the second episode wasn't in the mold of smallville "freak of the week" so i'm hoping this show picks it up and doesn't poop the deck

i watched this week's episode last night.
man, it was so obvious that the peruvian national guard was going to turn on them. and that skye was still with her hacker buddies (but of course, she'll choose the team at the end).

what wasn't obvious was nick fury's appearance at the end. i literally lol'ed when he showed up haha.

Haha yeah, Ming Na Wen trying to be a badass super hero is not working for me.

HAHA yeah totally. they probably cast her because of her bang up job as chun-li.

Still giving it a chance. I think they're trying to build the "band of misfits" coming together as a team.

Ming Na Wen is like 50 or close to it.

Samuel L Jackson is always gold.

It's not so much about Ming Na Wen's age... she still looks pretty good. It's just that she can't act tough worth nuts.

i've always been a ming na fan, but yea, she's not the best choice for a badass female asian.
