saw this game demo from e3, pretty impressive, apparently it's not just open world, it's open galaxy... it's online, but every player starts at the edge of the galaxy on their own planet, so supposedly no two players will have the share the same experience since the galaxy is so vast it's not possible to see everything. it uses procedural generation to create it's content... so everything is dynamic planets/space/creatures

very interesting concept, and very cool some of the direction games are heading in...

wow that's pretty wild. but part of the gaming experience for me (who plays actual games very seldom) is being able to share it with others knowing that they're experiencing the same thing. if the game is this unique for everyone, might it get lonely playing it?
i just think of the instant camaraderie that fynn and i shared when we learned that we were both playing evony. lol evony.
