I also watched it on the weekend. It was pretty good. Pretty good action and decent enough plot.
I find it pretty interesting how many movies have come out recently with Christian related allusions or themes. This movie, also Legion and Creation. I wonder if it is a coincidence.

it's probably another "hot topic" that is out now for movies. a couple years ago it was huge epic action (troy, 300, lotr trilogy), then there was cgi madness. about a decade ago there was nothing but end of the world type movies (armegeddon, deep impact). just one of those trends i'm guessing.

Yup... saw it yesterday... It was enjoyable.
I actually got more enjoyment reading all the Religion bashing comments about it on IMDB.
It's amazing how some people can totally accept a movie where teenagers fall in love with vampire and werewolf teens, and then turn around and rip apart a movie cuz it doesn't make sense that a blind person can shoot down snipers from 200 feet away.
Even if you personally have no religious leanings..... IT'S A FICTION MOVIE!! If you pay attention to the plot, it makes sense. If you can suspend reality to watch a geeky symbologist professor like Tom Hanks or a joe blow accountant like Will Smith totally evade countless numbers of professional assassins and really bad dudes plotting against them, then why is it so hard to do it for a post apocalyptic movie that 'happens' contain religious leanings with their protagonist?
