i just got an idea.

instead of waiting impatiently every week to see if there's poker or not, why not make a rotation schedule of who hosts? that way we don't have to keep scrambling to see who can play and who won't and where we can play and blah blah blah.

so if we're on a rotation, then everyone knows where to go at any given week. if the person scheduled to host can't for whatever reason, then it's their job to tell the masses (or put a note on the front door). maybe we can set up an online calendar (keian is pretty good at making a sweet program for lulz) so we can keep track of where poker is and so forth.

and if we say that start time is consistent every week, then all we have to do for poker to check the calendar to see who's hosting, show up at designated start time.

and since streams isn't on fridays anymore, maybe we can start earlier so we can play longer.

how's that sound?

Having someone to host is just half the problem... another problem is getting enough players.

anyway, i was thinking if we could set up some kind of system (like on this forum) where we can check off "yes" if we're coming or "no" if we're not. that way, the host of that week could check it at like 5pm on friday or something to see if there's a game happening.

either that or all perspective players text the host by a certain time if they're coming or not. if there's not enough players (and that's a debate for that other thread), then it's up to the host to call it off.

If you really want then, I'll make a sub forum just for up it setting. But don't clutter it with crap. All the host has to do is put date and time in their post subject and put in a yes/no poll for attending...

I'll lock the topic the day following.

I think the only people who come on here often enough to use it are Me, You, Gordon and possibly Jai.

Recreational users who may pop by every now and then: Joel, Keian, JT, Dave, and Fynn.

but if they knew about the poker only set it upping forum, maybe they'd come by more often to see what's happening.

we could do all that, or set up a facebook page lol.

Looking at the stats...

Joel, Keian, JT and Fynn are definitely on enough to know about an up it set poll, they just don't PW as much as you guys.

do they log on every day?
or are you just looking at post count?

I log on every day.. but i refrain from posting because I assume 75% of my posts would get deleted for being too offensive anyways.

they won't get deleted, they'll just get the thread locked.
