Programmer Looking For Work

I spend a lot of my time at the office doing design/analysis work lately and want to keep my programming skills fresh and up to date.

If you need a small application written or some programming related work done reply back with what you need. I am open to take on bigger projects too if need be. If it's non-commercial, i would probably do it pro-bono.

I have good knowledge in GIS (Geospatial Information Systems), but am willing to take on pretty much anything.

You'll have to be flexibile on schedule too as I still have my 9-5 and this work would be done on my offhours.

I am only doing software solutions too.. If you need an hardware/infrastructure solution I won't be able to help much.

i'll be willing to donate 10 bucks towards it, pretty sure most of the regular players will be willing to donate some too..

I don't have experience with cold fusion, but am willing to learn and try. If it's web development and open to alternatives, I do have experience with both JavaEE(including jsf) and ASP.NET

As for a Poker App. I thought about doing that a while ago. most gaming type apps require quite a bit of graphics work. Not sure if I would have the time to do both without some help. A non-graphical poker game app would be very doable though. I am not sure how often we would actually use something like that to play though even if we did have it. And I would rather not spend 40+ hrs writing a program that just collects dust. If you want I could do something really basic (non-graphical) as a start and see if there is more interest to extend it. There maybe some open source apps that would just need some minor modifying out there as well.

I found numerous poker libraries on sourceforge.net for building apps. I may experiment with these a bit... but I still don't see many of us playing it much online. Isn't the appeal of poker night usually the getting together in person and not just the poker?

I thought of an idea that may be useful but not sure, so some of you can put some feedback in it.
-Worship Song DB and PPT Maker: I'm not entirely sure what's currently invovled in the ppt making currently. But I think it would be pretty doable to write an app to access a db of songs that can be retrieved and put together a basic ppt with whatever worships elements needed. The dB could also provide a way of searching for inputted songs based on tag words or themes, etc... Not sure if you guys already have tools online to do this stuff for you.

Also if you are looking for apps to run on your iphone/smartphone i am also open to doing something like that too. I took embedded systems at school so that's another one of my expertises. And what i don't know I am willing to learn.

You could always start by making an iPhone app for these forums if you're that bored...

I know I'd use it. Just basically strip off the avatars and signatures so that the app is displaying only posts and attachments / links

just to clarify bbm is blackberry messenger, i'm just looking for a calendar for blackberries.
i think google calendar only works with android phones, or at least i never heard of a blackberry user using google calendar.
