What would you recommend for something in the 500-800 dollar range? preferably something with an hdmi out

Acutally, you'll get the best pricing from promos at Future Shop or Best Buy. We carry mostly business models and not many consumer models.
FS and BB have deep discounts sometimes on their systems because they try to get rid of their old inventory.

I can help you look for prices at my company, but they won't be that great.
