Thinking of buying into the system. I know it's pricey but maybe it'll provide extra motivation to get more fit. Anyone know much about it or if there's a better system out there? i hear/read good things about Fitbit. Thinking of getting the Aria scale and the Force wrist band.

only heard about the recall due to some allergic reaction of the plastic. Reviews all said it was pretty good. How much one really uses it even after they get it, no idea, it's another gadget.

I think that we just picked up the distribution contract for them. Let me check on samples.

aren't there apps that do this same thing? i guess maybe it's not as cool, but i'd imagine that when you go for a run you'd still have your phone on you somewhere?
the funny thing is that i got my 6th gen ipod nano specifically for its handy little clip, size, and ability to track my "progress" (it was actually just a glorified pedometer). not sure what else the fitbit does (besides tracking steps and calculate calories spent).

tracks sleeping schedule, and along with the scale it tracks your weight, bmi, fat% among other things and pull all that data into a fitness dashboard that you can access online and on your phone to track your progress.

I think it also tracks your resting heart rate which could be helpful in determining whether you were over training or not.
