I guess it's not that complex of a thing, but I had in my mind that people don't usually eat meringue on its own. I always see it on top of some dessert or part of a pie or something like that.

i had sea turtle eggs once when i was in malaysia.
they didn't have that on the menu, i think it was banned at the time. I don't remember if it was good or not. it was super long ago.

i usually just like my eggs fried or over-hard.
