in steveston.
wasnt good.
Scallops, oysters and prawns were probably frozen and bought from costco. Fish was ok and crispy, fries were a little soggy.
Sticking with Pajos or Cockney Kings.
Going to try Salmon city grill or whatever at steveston next time.

Ceilis in Downtown has $5 fish and chips and $5 for a pint of beer. Don't think you'll be getting Cod tho, probably some bottom feeding fish like catfish.

tried the sockeye city grill not that long ago. i am guess that's the place you meant.
only tried the salmon fish and chips. but it was really good. tasted fresh as the salmon was still moist and tender. pretty pricey tho'

i always found deep fried salmon to be weird. i dunno, it just doesn't seem "fish and chips" like. but i do like me a well cooked piece of salmon though (like that time my father in law bbq'ed up some salmon someone caught. best. fish. evar.)
