So we went to the Ramen place in Metropolis last night. Can't remember what it was called though but it's the one across from that pizza slice place and beside that other japanese all you can eat restaurant. It was pretty good, reasonably priced and decent portions. A bowl of ramen was roughly 6.95-7.95 on average, with the more expensive bowl costing 9.95. I've been craving a good bowl of ramen ever since that place on kingsway by royal oak closed down.

i give it an 8/10, especially since their menus say "chashu" instead of bbq pork haha...

i found that their ramen is really salty. but only tried once..maybe a different one would be better.

have you tried kenzo on kingsway and griffiths? they have a some good ramens there too. I usually end up eating bibimbap in a stone pot there, but i've tried most of their ramen and it's all pretty good.

i've tried the ramen at kenzo... and then i tried ramen in HK. HK ramen wins by a mile.

I haven't had any ramen here that compares so far.

i haven't had really great ramen anywhere here either.
can always make some pretty good stuff at home, but that is so much more efforts than paying 6.95

did you finish drinking the soup? It's considered rude in japan if you don't finish the soup.

There's one in continental plaza that's not bad, also the one on denman and robson and the one on robson and denman that are always packed.

alicia mentioned the place on kingsway and griffiths too. We haven't tried it but i'm always up for a good bowl of ramen. who wants ramen for lunch on the weekend? lols

Yea, the bowl at metrop i had was a little salty, but i ordered the miso bowl so that's prob why. But then again, i kinda like the salty taste of miso. We ordered 3 diff bowls and all 3 had diff tasting soup bases. the other ones weren't as salty but then again, like i said, my bowl was the saltiest so it might've dulled the taste of the other bowls after i had mine haha...

Tried that metropolis place a while ago, its not bad.

All ramen places name their ramen pork meat chasu or whatever.. seen it at several places.

Been to genki ramen on main, its not bad either, pricier iirc.

i went here today, it wasn't bad. it was sad to sit there by myself to eat lunch, but noodles are pretty easy to eat fast.
i wasn't full when i left. i paid 12 bucks for my noodles.

$12?!? Eat fast?! Forever alone?!?
