Bouchon Bistro

Went to this bistro in vegas, best food i've had in a long time. Its hidden on the 10th floor of the Venetian.

Appy bread that is free was kinda tough and chewy. Didn't eat too much of it.

Foie Gras. 2.5g. Came with toasted bread that was done up in the style of steak fries. Very damn good and filling too. We didn't finish it all but they packed it up for us.

Had the trout. Fish was tastey, cauliflower and spices were done really well. tasted a bit buttery but i like butter. portion was alright.

Friend had Salmon with escargot, veges and some sort of green emulsion. Salmon was seared to perfection. Crunchy on the outside, tastey moist and salmony on the inside.

Lemon tart for desert. Wasn't very aesthetic but tasted freaking awesome.

Would recommend if you dont mind spending $40-50 dollars for a meal (or more).

dishes were in the 25-35 dollar range, ok sized portions and taste was freaking awesome.

That's Thomas Keller's Bistro. They have a bakery on the main floor. I always stop there in Vegas. If you didn't know already, Keller is in my top 8 for classic cuisine. If you want to explore further, The French Laundry in Napa and Per Se in NYC are both excellent, but the menus start at $250 per and you'll need to reserve a minimum one month in advance.

Joel and Joyce went with us to the Bouchon in Vegas, I think that they enjoyed it too.

haha, Per Se, the curry flavored truffles pack a lot of indian in one bite. Don't think the wife would want to go there again. Tried Bouchon as well, haven't been really impressed with Thomas's cooking.
