Here's a money winning idea. You know how some novels and movies are so formulaic? How about writing a computer program which spits out novels/screenplays every month or so. Cha-ching.

with the kinda movies that are coming out these days, i wouldn't be surprised if it's already being done... i'm sure nat can point you to things like transformers and marvel movies lol

Luckily the company I work for is not like that. Its a pretty successful privately owned company. They try to make the employees feel like they're part of a family here. Several colleagues of mine left and eventually came back with open arms.

Its probably a mix of everything.
