since when did vader and maul meet? and since when does maul talk? and since when is maul not in two pieces?

i think it's a comic where some group brought maul back from the dead b/c they wanted him to be the Emperor's #2 again rather than vader. They set up for them to encounter each other. short of it, vader won, by stabbing himself with a lightsaber. it's from an official comic, but not sure if it's considered canon.
