i called lenovo today, after leaving a security note to my cc to make sure any transaction from them passes in the next couple of days.
lenovo told me they didn't even charge my credit card yet, since they only do so after they ship the machine out, so it's been nearly a month now (my order was on nov. 26th), and my order has not even been built yet, let alone shipped out.
apparently they have too many orders, so that's why they have such a delay.
some of the pros i have for the macbook aren't just excuses, the look/size/weight/battery factors to do weigh in. as I do intend to use this as a work laptop too for any of the work I may do that falls outside of my BC Hydro client. If this was purely for gaming, then there are other routes I would have considered (alienware, sager, northwest falcon, razer, asus, etc...)
the problem with a lot of the more powerful laptops out there is they make them look like "toys" in my opinion. the last thing I want to do if I meet a client or have a business meeting is pull out some "gamer" laptop. macbook pro is powerful enough that I could probably do "most the heavy lifting i need although maybe comes up a little bit short" and it looks professional, so i have no qualms about whipping it out.
