woot, they finally shipped it today. it only took them 4 full business weeks to complete the build.

sorry about making you want another laptop. to be honest, if i didn't need one to do the type of work that i do, i would have tried altogether not to get one. Just with the need to separate my hydro work from any other clients i take on has required me to get one. the last laptop i bought for myself was in 2005.

i got my current laptop in 2008 and it's a piece of crap. however, given that i hardly fire it up anymore, it probably won't even be worth it.

i have an old eVGA GeForce 7950GT that you can run dual monitors with. Write me a $50 tax receipt and it's yours. You need an empty PCI-e x16 slot though... although i think it's runnable on x2 but you wont get the full benefits of it's processing power circa 2006

that's true... but pr0n these days can be had in 1080p... if that's the case, he may need all the video processing power he can get so no frames are dropped! nothing worse than watching laggy pr0n

Freeze frames are the best. Just be sure they're on the right frame.
