winter tires in vancouver or all seasons?

i usually am a fan of winter tires, but lately i've been thinking that it's so warm here that maybe we could get by with all seasons and not worry about it. i'll still swap my rims in the summer, but that's only because i usually drive more aggressively in the summer and for looks.

anyone running dedicated snows for winter?

you mean all seasons in the summer and winters in the winter?

yea... that's what i'm thinking of doing since my summers are pretty gone... i know that it kinda defeats the purpose of having all seasons, but i think i'll do that that way so if the winter doesn't look like it's gonna be that bad, i can save myself the trouble and only put on winters if it's a cold winter

lol... ugh, i hate those rims...

anyway, i'm thinking of getting steelies and putting the winters on them and get new all seasons for the stock rims.. that way i don't have to use those ugly rims. Plus word is that brendon might take them back to put winters on them... good riddens

shouldn't be hard to find the steelies. people sell them all the time. i can keep an eye out for you if you want.

sure, as long as they're the same size as the stock rims cuz i gotta pull the winters off my stock rims... gotta look for new rubber for summers

what size are your winters now? 225/55/15?

yeah, don't bother buying them new. people sell used steelies all the time, after they get a nicer set for the winter.

not sure, i have to go home and check... i know barely anything about that damned car... although i think the tires are too big for my car.. if i make a tight turn, i can hear the tires rubbing against my fender/wheel well

uh... that may be a different issue then.

is that only with your stockers or does your sweet aftermarket rims do that too? if just with the stockers then it's probably just too thick tire. where did you get the tires from? weird that they didn't give you a proper sized one, because if the diameter is off by 5mm (i think) in either direction, not only does it affect your speedo and odo, but your braking too.

Not to mention it rubs your fenders.
