Home cooked for sure. Make it the way you like it. Want your noodles salted? Salt them. Want your roast spicy, throw in some cayenne. And, for a lot of things, it's way cheaper.

Cleanup sucks, though.

Home cooked 100%. Especialy if Shao, Shaun, or Patrick is the one cooking in my kitchen.

i think i'm the only one in the world that prefers going to a restaurant. it could be because i was raised in the family of self-taught cooks and maybe once every 2-3 weeks we'd have a good meal at home. by the time we were in high school we never sat around the table to eat due to our schedules, so eating became an individual thing and something to be done quick. eating out (esp fast food drive thru's) accomplish that quite nicely.

i would've said home cooked if i still lived at home (MY parents' that is)... but i'm gonna hafta say restaurant because... i don't want to sound ungrateful, but my goodness, alicia's mom doesn't know how to cook... she might have 1 dish that's not bad.. but all others are bland and meh... but i don't blame her... she was raised on no salt, and cheap grade ingredients... that's all she ever knew... plus, alicia's dad is the pickiest eater EVAR... this guy only likes his rice and noodles... he hates indian, pizza, sushi, and a ton of other good stuff... everwhere we go, if it's on the menu, he'll only order curry beef brisket on rice or "jiu pai chow mein"... so yea, alicia's mom doesn't really have much to go on... i guess that's why alicia can't really cook because she didn't have much to look up to... she can't even hold a knife properly to chop things up... it takes her 5 minutes to chop up or mince something... that's why she asked for a slap chop (yea, i know) for xmas last year...

there are stories from the past where alicia's mom would try a new recipe, then her dad would take one bite, grunt and walk away from the dinner table.... lol

It depends... home cooked for everyday meals. Restaurants are a treat because there are some pretty good restaurants out there with awesome food.

For regular meals, I'd go to restaurants because I'm too lazy to cook/clean, but I'd prefer home cooked, especially if someone cooks for me, even if it's not the best tasting.

i'm not complaining about the food i get, i'm just saying that i found my preference to be to eat out.
maybe it's because i can control what i eat too, when i go home to eat it's just whatever winnie thought to make. not saying that i don't appreciate it, but there are days when i feel like eating something but there's no way that she would have known and didn't prepare it.

That's always a problem when you're cooking for someone else. I don't mind it too much if it's not something I want to eat, as long as it's not something I totally dislike, like pig intestines, for example.

winnie usually doesn't cook stuff that she doesn't like (although she "claims" to hate kd, but she buys it all the time), and i'm not a super picky eater, so i guess that works out.
