which is more epic?

lord of the rings for me. perhaps b/c for the primary story for starwars was only in the movie medium. so it's like comparing the books for lotr to the movies for star wars. books will always be more rich in content.

Star Wars was more groundbreaking. LOTR was more rich in content and had more epic battles.

lotr is pretty messed too... well, not the lotr series specifically, but i read a book Children Of Hurin that was written by Tolkien and edited by his son and post-lotr-published that was pretty messed up too... it was a book written by tolkien that was supposed to be dated in middle earth's first age... the book is about a twin bother and sister being separated at birth, then somehow they come to know each other as adults, and they fall in love and do it.. pretty effed up

wasn't blue lagoon remade sometime recently? it's a story about a dude and a chick on a stranded island, they do it, get preggos and find out that they're siblings.

Ya definitely hard to compare for the reasons mentioned, and they also came out of very different time periods. I would have to say I enjoyed LOTR more though

true, but because star wars came out so much earlier, i'd say that it was that much more ground breaking.

movie wise.

If you're talking movie-wise... Matrix was the most ground breaking and epic.

as true as that is, it's not part of the game.
