And I mean the quality fake plants where you can't tell that they're fake.

if you can't tell, then fake. if they were real they'd die on me before you can say "die, plant".

I'm pretty bad with keeping plants alive too. I think there's something gratifying about keeping plants and nourishing them, but I just can't do it.

then how do you know it's gratifying? lol.

They don't die instantly, lol.

there are some plants that require very low maintenance.. water when your remember and that's it.. i'm not talking about cacti, but there are some out there that don't look half bad and are pretty resilient when it comes to neglectful owners haha

I'm not neglectful... I put a lot of attention into the plants, but they just die for some unknown reason. I can't figure it out.

not saying you're neglectful, just saying for those who want low maintenance plants is all...

sometimes putting too much attention into plants kills them too... by no means am i a plant expert, but some plants die if you give it too much water or some plants get dried up if you put it in too dry of a location...

but if you can't figure it out, i say get a cactus lol

I want to figure it out... that's part of the challenge and what makes it gratifying if you do figure it out.

I like real plants... but mostly just edible fruit bearing plants. I'm not into flowers for the sake of flowers... only as far as they relate to the fruit that they result in.

I can't wait to get some pepper and tomato plants going next year.

Why plants die or have issues? Could be any number of a bunch of reasons.
Too much water
Not enough water
Too much fertilizer
Mould/mildew (eg. powdery mildew)
Blight/viruses
Too much sun
Not enough sun
Too sudden of a rise in temperature
Too sudden of a drop in temperature
Bugs (eg. aphids, spidermites, etc)

whoa, that's another reason why i'd get fake plants. you need to know more than just water haha.
