regular motor oil or synthetic?

i've been using synthetic since my first car (in my name), but i wonder if i'm just wasting money since i haven't even kept any of them for very long.

i find that it's more for longevity of the engine over actual performance gains for the moment.

what do you nerds use and why?

I usually use Mobil 1... but then I don't really care for my Nissan now.

i heard some company has refined oil recycling and is now selling that stuff. i might switch just for the environment.

yea, heard that on the radio... i can't remember which company it is but it's 50% recycled oil and 50% new oil

yeah, the commercial with the guy revving his engine like nuts? lol.
they say that it meets or exceeds all industry standards, so i wonder if it's worth a try. probably expensive though.

i think they have different blends of synthetic and non, but i'm not sure.

there's semi synthetic. there's also recycle oil now.
