It's not just a switch flip. I need to do some minor programming to change the formatting. Just need to find the time.

I have no problems surfing the forums as it is now... I actually don't like mobile versions of sites, even on mobile phones. I prefer the full version.

it depends on how mobile the mobile site is. on the vw forum, the mobile site is text only, so it sucks especially when people post pictures of what they're talking about (which happens a lot, it's a car forum afterall).

there are some mobile sites that include light graphics and such, it's just a different formatting of buttons and signatures and stuff like that.

I can see how mobile sites were necessary before when phones weren't as good, but I don't think it's necessary now. Well, aside from the flash thing.

if there's a standalone app, that's not a bad thing. but it's true, my phone already resizes webpage text to fit on my screen so i don't have to scroll side to side and i don't know if iphones do this but i can create a bookmark right onto my homescreen so i can get directly onto the forumz and post away.

but i guess the thing is the heavy graphics slow down load time, and i'm assuming that's what trying to be remedied here.

yea, you can create bookmarks as icons on your home screen on the iphone

The graphics here aren't that heavy...
I honestly never had a problem getting on here on my iphone, not even the 3G.
