The Chu Forums

I was curious to see how long this forum has been up for and the only way i could figure the conception date was to see the members list and find jai's first account creation date. Nov 3rd 2009... i guess i'm a week and half late, but it's been a glorious 2 year and counting...

can anyone remember how long amgforums lasted for?

i think amgforums lasted for 2 years too... but i think after 2 years it lost novelty and tyson had to start paying for the domain or something so he just canned it. so i guess the domain was around for around 2.5 years? but it was only active for about 2 years (actually i think slightly less).

i'd think so. the amgforums was a different animal for a couple reasons:
1. not many people worked on computers daily in those days
2. not many people frequented forums back then either
3. we saw each other more often back then, so chatting on a forum would be overkill
4. i was back in vancouver at the time so i wasn't as bored as i was in saskatoon.

these forums are different because so many of us are in front of our computers most of the day, and we can just have it open in the background.

or foreground... as it were.

Yeah, and if you stop friggin getting all the threads locked up, there'd actually be even more conversation.
