These new flavoured kettle style chips just came out in March this year by Lays. I haven't seen them on the shelves until last week.
I picked up a bag, and I think I've found a new favourite. Kettle chips are like thick cut slices of potatoes made into chips and are crunchier than your regular Lays chips, so I guess since it's not your classic style of chips, not everyone will like it. Add ketchup flavour to it though, and it's a winner in my books!

Yeah, they're similar to Mrs. Vickies.
Kettle Chips is a brand, but kettle chips are actually a type of chip too.

I've never had the Kettle brand chips. I didn't know they made ketchup flavour ones.

i don't think they do actually. they use a lot of "natural" flavours i think. by natural, i mean regular.

And we have a new player in the ketchup chip battle.
Doritos' tagline "You destroyed Buffalo Wings n' Ranch so this flavour could live"
Onion Rings n' Ketchup.
Not really feelin' it.

You didn't like the crunchiness of the kettle chips? I was never a huge fan of bbq flavour.
Yeah, onion rings and ketchup does sound weird.
