Hmmm... this would be waaay cheaper than putting a magnetic lock and latch into the door frame. Maybe I will... but which one of you nerds get access?

This was on Shark Tank, or something really similar.

One function they're missing that I think they could easily incorporate is a sensor to tell whether the door is open, instead of just locked or not.

yeah, i think i'd be more worried if the door were open or not rather than locked.
