How is that "sustainability" when it takes 33 kg of raw product to produce only 1 kg of useable product. It's almost as wasteful as the perpetual elevator energy wasting machine.

I wonder if the elephants get all hopped up on caffeine.

the one i posted isn't the original article that i read, but the original said that they do have traces of caffeine in their system, but not even close to enough to have any sort of effect.

maybe eating beans straight up has a different effect? i dunno. that's just what the article said.

Yeah, I'm not sure... or maybe it's the roasting of the beans that brings out the caffeine. Or maybe it's because the elephants eat the whole cherry, but the caffeine is only in the bean part which they don't digest.

there was the indonesian cat poop coffee. They go for $50 a cup here, tried it in bali, didn't find it all that special.
