where to dump video cassette tapes?

any ideas? we have (actually winnie and joyce have) a crapload of tapes that they used to record stuff that they never watched again just sitting around collecting dust. we want to get rid of them. how to play?

Did you ever find a place to recycle your cassettes? If not, I know Joe Liu still uses VHS and could probably use them to record Simpsons. I don't think you can even buy VHS tapes new anymore... not easily anyway.

I was searching online for some places to recycle them, and found a forum talking about the same thing... one dude said, if it's pron, just bring it to your local high school and dump it at the front door and the kids will be all over it. I was thinking - kids these days probably wouldn't even know where to stick a VHS tape.
