anyone know anything on bluetooth transmitters?

what i'm trying to do is get my non-bluetooth enabled tv to pair with my bluetooth headphones, so i can watch tv while winnie's sleeping. i could always just order that one that i've linked, but i was hoping that i could find something locally or something.

we do have this other set of wireless headphones that i think uses rf to connect to this giant base, but for some strange reason i can't get it to work whatsoever (there's only static, but no sound). since i have a set of bt headphones kicking around, i thought maybe i can make something work.

i know there are bluetooth usb dongles for like $20, but i don't know if the tv's usb ports will support audio out.

what are your thoughts? tia.

I have an usb Bluetooth dongle. It's about 5 years old, so dunno if it'll work with your headphones.

can i just borrow it? like i said, i don't even know if the usb ports on the tv will support audio out (or any kind of output as i have a feeling that they're just inputs).

if you have a usb speaker, that might be a quicker test.

but i highly doubt that you can get audio out from a usb port on a tv.
