don't worry, i don't think you're making anyone feel bad, but IMO progression for something like this (simple as it may seem... just show up on time damnit) could take (pardon the bad joke) time. Even for this Sunday when we were ready to go, Joyce/Inhee were a little hesitant to start cuz there were so few ppl in the pews. I kinda had to nudge them to start telling them that we should start regardless. If people think that the worship team will just wait anyway, then it defeats the purpose. Also, if we dont start on time, it's disrespectful to those who made the effort to be on time.
People have been used to showing up late for years upon years... and it doesn't help that the 3 weeks prior to this past sunday, the catonese ran overtime to the point where we didn't even get into the sanctuary til 12noon. I have a feeling that the cantonese lateness deadened the affect of PSam speaking about lateness.
But yea, more awareness is good, but the awareness you're creating on the forums is kinda only limited to forum ppl who go to new life. Me (usually on time), Jai (usually on time), Joel (usually on time because Joyce has to be), Dave (usually... who am i kidding), and you (usually on time). lol
i'm not trying to create excuses, but as the article jai posted suggests, it might be more of an internal issue than most ppl think. I'm just hoping by the grace of God that people will start respecting start times.
i really should be working
