The problem with having everything on the cloud is when you travel, you better have good data roaming rates. And service in certain countries can be really really slow.

yeah,that was my issue with cloud storage for your phone too. i guess you could always wait for wifi, but that's not always an option when you just want to listen to music on the bus.

for the amazon phone, i thought it was interesting that you can take a picture of pretty much anything to get info, but i wonder how much that will be used. i'm thinking about the augmented reality wiki apps that promised to be great but no one ended up using them.

i decided against the nexus 6. i couldn't see myself carrying around such a huge beast. i decided to go for the galaxy s5. i probably should've waited til 2015Q2 for the galaxy s6 but oh well. I couldn't stand the lag on my iphone 4 anymore. Plus, the s5 is the only non iphone flagship they have available on contract. It's a decent phone and it only cost me $230 on contract. At the end of the day, i couldn't bring myself to a humungo phone and paying $800+ for other flagships like the note 4 or HTC One M8.

The biggest beef i have about the s5 though is that the single speaker it has and mainly the fact that it's on the back of the phone. if you're watching something, you can't hear it as well, but the people you're facing can hear it clear as day. I don't know what possesses these engineers to design a speak on the back of the phone.

my monthly is $60. My cost doesn't change because i just grandfather my existing plan into a 2 year contract. I don't pay more than i already do and i get the phone subsidized at $230. For Fido, as long as you have a phone and data plan costing $60/mo or more, you can get a subsidized phone as long as you do the 2 year contract.
