good printers

hey, does anyone have any experience using generic toners/ink cartridges for their printer? apparently my secretary got a lead on a place that we can get toner for about 30% of what we pay now. but i'd rather pay regular price for a working oem piece than paying 30% for a non working aftermarket piece multiple times.

You've already got part of your answer right there. 3rd party toners vary in quality quite a bit, and you could end up buying cheap toners multiple times because they don't work or even end up having one that wrecks your printer too.

There are high quality 3rd party toners of course, but the cost on those are almost as high as the oem ones.

At 30% the cost of an oem one, I don't think the ones your hot secretary was talking about are high quality.

although, this place sells the oem toners at about $20 cheaper than we get at staples. i'm thinking that it's not even worth it.
