tablet vs. notebook vs. netbook

haha, no one's gonna hate on you. Seeing as the playbook is built specifically (more or less) for existing bb user so they can tether their bb, it's perfect for a bb fanboi like you. It'd be useless for the rest of us who don't have bbs though

Haha, it just means it reached the peak of its coolness and now is starting to fall into the "everyone and my mom" status. Kinda like back when all the moms were wearing fake Club Monaco t-shirts that were like stark white t-shirts with huge Club Monaco logos on them and a "Fruit of the Loom" tag on the inside.

I never thought tablets to be for productivity.. I always thought of it as a toy mostly. It's fun for games, media and surfing. Any productivity it has is a cool side benefit.

I'll be buying 3 ipads (original if I can find any in good condition, if not ,then 2's) in six months time. It'll be pretty damn cool what I'm using them for

Whether it's cool or not will be for you to judge, but I can confidently guess that LESS than 0.25% of all the ipad owners in the world would utilize them this way.

I guess that if I were to drop a hint then here's how it'd go.

Once it's up and running, I could name the Location ID's for the ipads as follows

Bridge
Engineering
Captain's Quarters

And my iPhone could technically be a tricorder, but I can't remember an episode where a tricorder was used to take over control of the enterprise.

Of Course, this is only if I decide to go with the LCARS (unauthorized and unofficial of course) template... might be a bit too "fanboy" even for me. Then again, my wife does love TNG and Voyager.
