Sorry, I didn't read the article. Just replying based on Nathan's post.

Canada has been a "victim" of brain drain for a long time. I put victim in quotations because Canada is just as much to blame for the cause of the brain drain as we are victims to it. Canada puts so much emphasis on education, but it doesn't have the economy or infrastructure to support the students as they graduate and look for jobs. If they can't find jobs here, then they'll naturally look over to the U.S. for jobs.

i guess education is pretty cheap here too compared to other places. so a lot of immigrants (and i mean a LOT) come here to study and after they're done they go back to their country of origin and improve their economy haha.

foreign students pay UP THE ASS in tuition. Atleast 3x more than us.. maybe even more i think

saskatchewan is supposed to have the cheapest tuition. that's why a lot of people go study there and gtfo of sask after grad.
