oh yeah, i was going to post in this thread.
i talked to my brother about this, and he said that there is no way that they can ever do what they're threatening to do (get your ip info and charge you) because canadian law won't allow it (the states could be different). apparently they faced something similar at sfu where a lot of students download stuff off the school network. some officials came and asked them to release the info so they can charge the students, but they refused on legal ground. all those officials could do was give sfu a notice to pass to those downloading, and it all just ends there.
so i'm almost caught up on homeland now.
