25 cents per min when ur outside of the zone area. Looks like Winds zones are pretty small. Doesn't even cover south surrey or white rock. Not that any of us visit those areas that often.

i just re-upped with fido for 2 years. hopefully these competitors will continue to improve their coverage and their network reliability over the next two years and keep their prices low. and force competitors like fido, rogers, etc.. to have to compete with their pricing structure. that you have to pay SAF and 911 fee for some plans still is pretty ridiculous.

you should still be able to call fido retention and try to get the same plan... but then again you're probably paying close to $40/mo for everything you need already so no point in trying to call in and have your account flagged like Gordon did to Daffy's account haha

no major carrier will match a Wind or Mobilicity plan because

a: Their coverage SUCKS MONKEY BALLS
b: You need to get new hardware that is very restricting as they are 2 of only 4 North American companies on the 1700/2100 frequency.
c: Their new hardware is the suck.

It's too bad cuz we are the entire logistics arm behind Mobilicity and we get employee plan pricing which is even better that the current offers. I can get a free Google Nexus on an EVERYTHING unlimited N/A plan for $30 / month.

not sure if this is why she got flagged, but if you call too many times to retentions and annoy them, they'll flag your account to not give you anymore deals.

Gordon called into retention on behalf of daffy and the dude got pissed because apparently nobody was supposed to know about the direct line to retention that i gave him haha.... long story short, he got what he wanted from retentions, but the guy said her account is flagged now because of him calling the line...

Duncan gave me that number and told me it connects me directly with the retentions team, so I was like.. sweet.

i got that number off the retention forum on redflagdeals and it worked for me. I gave it to Jai and even he was able to use it... haha.. i guess they were sick of people using that number because i hear they removed the hidden menu option to get connected directly to retention now.. oh well.. we got what we needed done.

Yeah, it was posted on howardforums too... I heard they took out that menu option now and changed the option # that you dial to get through.

has anyone checked the fido site lately? they have this new "all-in-one" plan that ends sept 30.
basically $40 gets you:
150 daytime mins
unltd text (can and us)
unltd ev + wknds starting at 5pm
unltd canada ld
250 mb of data

that's a pretty sweet deal, i may have to renew my contract a year early and order an iphone 5 just because of it.
